Lindsey Graham #12

This week the only thing else that Senator Graham spoke about on his twitter feed, aside from his meeting with Conway Chamber of Commerce (Which was talked about in my last post), was his thoughts on the football games going on, the BCS bowl games, and the death of Nelson Mandela- and how much he will be missed.

Lindsey Graham #11

This week Senator Graham spoke about how he is speaking with the members of the Conway Chamber of Commerce about how "ObamaCare will harm job creation.  Which will even further hurt our dying economy.

I agree with Senator Graham, with ObamaCare giving services to the poor, there will be a lesser incentive for them to work. Because the necessities that they used to struggle to achieve are now given to them by the government/ The Americans that are actually paying their taxes.  So in there minds there is not as much urgency to join the work force so that they can provide for their families.  In the end hurting our economy, and adding another accolade to the Obama Administration.

Lindsey Graham #10

This week Senator Graham talked about the nuclear deal that the US made with Iran.  The deal limits Iran's nuclear activity, but does not end it.  Senator Graham went on to talk about how he believes that the deal is falling short in its mission, and he believes that all of Iran's nukes need to be taken.

I agree with Senator Graham, if a deal regarding nukes is made with enemy countries, instead of limiting nuclear activity we need to completely stop it.  Nukes cannot bring any good to any country that has it, and only chaos can result from their use.  So if we really want peace, and to protect ourselves in the future, we need to follow through with the deal all the way.

Lidsey Graham #9

This week Senator Graham spoke about President Obama's "fix" for ObamaCare.  He said, "President Obama's fix is a duct tape solution for a problem that's NOT going to be fixed by duct tape."  This quote expresses his disapproval reguarding the decision that the president has made, and his disapproval of the almighty ObamaCare.

Although I do not agree with ObamaCare, and feel that it needs to be repealed. I believe that some good can come from this temporary "Duct tape solution."  Firstly I agree with Senator Graham, in that this fix is a very temporary solution to SOME of the problems that ObamaCare has created.  But unlike Senator Graham, I do believe that this solution will be good for our country now, and may lead to some further "Fixes" in ObamaCare in our future.

Lindsey Graham #8

This week, senator Graham stated that, "Your government has let you down in a time of need.  There's no excuse for this."  He also said, "This is NOT an acceptable way to run the most powerful nation in the world."

I completely agree with senator Graham.  As the most powerful nation in the world, we need to step up our act.  We are not acting like the nation that we truly are, and things need to change.  The government has really let us down this time, the longer and longer that it stays shut down, the harder and harder it is going to be to get us out of the hole we are digging our selves.

Lindsey Graham #7

This week senator Graham spoke about his thoughts about the government shutdown.  One of the main things he said, that I noticed, was his ideals regarding the loss of government jobs.  He said, "I shouldn’t get a congressional salary while other federal employees are denied the ability to go to work."

This shows his strong beliefs about this topic. And later on in the week he shared that he would be donating his salary to the Wounded Warriors charity, until the government shutdown ended and all the government employees got their jobs back. I believe that this is a very generous act by senator Graham, and a very good thing that he is doing, to make himself look like a very good person (I am not saying that he is not a good person). I personally believe he is doing this just for political reasons; donating your salary because you are a government worker that is still getting paid, while all of the others are not is something that would sound very good on a campaigning add when he runs for election again.

Lindsey Graham #6

This week senator Graham spoke only of ObamaCare.  He spoke about how it is bad for the public, and that we all should try and stop it.  This all lead up to recently when congress took a vote as to weather or not we should defund it, and senator Graham proudly boasting that he voted to defund it.

I believe that ObamaCare needs to be defunded because all it is doing is wasting tax payers money on things that other peoples taxes shouldn't be going towards.  At this moment in time, these taxes that are now being used to fund the all mighty and wonderful ObamaCare need to be redirected to funding more important things, such as something that can pull our country out of the 14 trillion dollar recession that we are now facing.
